Prepping for Fall: Styling Ripped Denim

Ripped denim – we all know how versatile it is, but sometimes there’s that one pair more suited to warmer months.  For the second post in this styling series, I wanted to give tips on pairing “Summer” jeans to work them into a Fall wardrobe.

There’s nothing I love more than light wash boyfriend jeans paired with a white oxford, tucked at the front.  It screams “I’m totally put together, but also laid back.”   I also figured for the most part, everyone would have a shirt somewhat like this.  Keeping things updated, I wore the shirt over top a statement necklace with the shirt unbuttoned lower than usual.  I liked how it added a subtle but noticeable peekaboo effect – so risque, I know.  The boots help tie the whole “preppy casual” look together and are perfect for Fall weather.  I chose these specific suede boots with the gold crest embellishment to add some texture and colour.  With a simplistic outfit like this, I always like adding something “differerent”.  Whether it’s a cool patterened boot, a bold lip or statement jewellery – pairing your “Summer” denim has never been easier!
